Dad here again.

So, last night when he was going to sleep I was hanging out with friends with LB in the background on the monitor. Can't be sure if he was actually asleep yet, but at one point our attention was grabbed as he repeated for at least 2 minutes the word "pancakes". Usually when he's talking to himself as he's going to sleep he'll make little lists, like all his "relatives", or objects in his room, I've never heard him fixate on one word. Of course, earlier in the day we had bought a new box of pancake mix, but it was after breakfast so he didn't get any...

Tonight, we were reading before bed and he decided, as he occasionally does, that he's going to read by himself. He chose the Goodnight Gecko which isn't a particularly simple book and, with just a little prompting from judy, he read most of it out loud and pretty much got it right. I think we need more books. War and Peace yet?
