So I'm feeling all famous now, having been mentioned in Jed's journal. I haven't yet had a chance to read his email (sent today) instruction manual on How To Make Links. So I can't make a link back to his journal. But I will soon, when I can sit down and plug my way through the instructions (thanks for those, too, Jed). After school gets out, probably. Which also means after the Grass Valley Bluegrass Festival, which is an annual Father's Day Weekend event.

Anyway, I was virtuous and got all my laundry and homework corrections done yesterday before heading up to SFO to pick up Jed. I also got to ride SFO's AirTrain, which I hadn't done before. Thankfully, that was not the highlight of my evening. I had to exchange a free ticket voucher I got when I volunteered to give up my seat on an overbooked United flight from Denver when I was visiting Cynthia last year for a real ticket for Cynthia to fly out for my party. So I took the AirTrian to get from Jed's terminal (near which I had parked) to the United terminal. Luckily, it took about 15 minutes for Jed to get to Baggage Claim after his plane landed, because I stood in the Purchase/Exchange Tickets line (which had only five people in front of me) for over 20 minutes without moving. Meanwhile the Check Your Baggage Here line, which had about a hundred people in it (okay, maybe more like 60), completely cycled through in that time. AARGH! But it all worked out okay in the end. I made it back to US Airways Baggage Claim approximately four minutes before I saw Jed's jeans, then his fanny pack, then his shirt and finally his head, descending the escalator. No, he wasn't actually all segmented up into parts, but there was an overhang, so I could only see the bottom twelve or so steps.

Anyway, it was very nice to see him and to spend the evening hanging out. And also to know that Cynthia is definitely going to be able to come to my party. Everybody else will get written invitations (see the "internal debate rages on" entry for why written invitations) soonish. After Grass Valley!
