Three projects done today. Okay two.

The filing project has been completed! Hooray! I'm so happy to have that taken care of. One of the boxes is pretty heavy, and I wanted to get all the heavy stuff done before the LASIK, so that was good. After LASIK, I can't do weight lifting for 6 weeks. So today besides finishing the filing project and getting the bins into the newly emptied closet space, I also rotated my entire bed and moved it over a foot and a half so that I would have room for the second IKEA nightstand that I also put together today. I won't go into the details of that assembly, but the short story is after assembling almost everything, I had to disassemble a big difficult chunk of it in order to put a piece on correctly that I had previously installed incorrectly. But that's over now, so hooray for that too.

My post-LASIK restrictions seem pretty reasonable, actually:

No aerobics, running or biking (presumably this also includes dancing) for 1 day. No exposure to dust or chemicals, or construction work, for 3 days. No pool swimming for 2 weeks. No ocean water activities (swimming, scuba diving, surfing, water-skiing) for 1 month. No weight lifting for 6 weeks.

Apparently, I also have to wait either 1 or 2 weeks (I can't remember which, but I'll ask tomorrow) to have any face-down massages or chiropractic adjustments. Basically, they don't want me doing anything on my stomach where my eyes are face down, because of a) gravity and b) any kind of pressure that might be put on them from the massage/chiro table. Luckily the chiropractic adjustments I get are usually while I'm on my side, unless my adjustment has held from the previous treatment, and she can work on some of the other stuff I have going on. So I just won't have her work on any of that other stuff for a little while.

Tomorrow! I can hardly believe it! I'm a little bit nervous today, and I had weird dreams last night, though I don't think they had anything to do with the LASIK. They involved flying through Costco in my black and pink striped dress. I mean flying, as in up in the air. There was a little more to that dream that I remember, but I don't want to talk about it here.

Anyway, I have a lot to get done today to get ready for tomorrow, so I'm going to get to it, but everybody think good eye thoughts tomorrow between 1:30 and 2:30!!!
