Big bubbles and permabubbles

I didn't end up watching a movie tonight, but I did have an excellent chiropractic adjustment today (yay for Dr. Cassidy at Sunnyvale Family Chiropractic!), and I did get to do lots of bubble blowing/making this evening. I made giant floaty bubbles with regular bubble soap, some perfectly spherical and some all squashy and stretchy. I also made tiny little bubbles with this product called Touchabubbles, which was super fun. It's kind of a pain in the ass to wait hefor all the extra gooey liquid stuff to drip down into the tube before you can blow the bubbles, but it's worth it. The end result was a hundred small bubbles that just stayed on the carpet, and the chair, and our feet, and the wall... until they got popped. Apparently they last for hours, and maybe days. When I was looking them up online for the above link, I came across this SF guy's blog entry, in which he has copied the text of the back of the Touchabubbles package. It's pretty funny.

Anyway, it was a very fun evening, and one I hope to repeat soon.

The only downer for the day is that a good friend of mine is having major hip troubles and has to stop running, which she loves to do, and I guess there is some possibility of surgery. No good and no fun. :-(

So, much love and thoughts of healing to you, T.
