Freshly shed snake

Nothing quite like a freshly shed snake after a hard day of dealing with the humans. Ernst has been hiding for 2 weeks now and today he's all nice and shiny. He was quite happy to see...well, my hair, mostly; it was a trick getting him out of it and to stop tickling my ear. Cats? You can keep them.

Got 564 words down yesterday in about 45 minutes. Not that many today. Hard to keep track unless you're typing, really. Now I have to pare it back to 500 and I'm feeling that the plot is kind of thin. But how much plot can you stick in 500 words? (ok, ok, definitely sounds like a challenge...but would it be lucid at all?) Gotta tweak and twitch it around. Maybe it won't be total crap.

Currently Reading: "365 Scary Stories", I think. Just finished, "Strangers on a Train"

Recommend: "Strangers on a Train" by Patricia Highsmith. No, it's not just like the Hitchcock version. The Hitchcock version is kind of like the Disney version on this one. Pleasantly morbid.

Stories out: 1
