The thrill of the holidays...

Mood:
slightly distressed

Holidays are definitely less stressful when there's only the two of us. Lots and lots of turkey left over, though.

I'm always slightly distressed at the wholesale slaughter of innocent trees for Christmas. I'd rather have a live one. What's always made it distressing is not just cutting down a tree -- I use as much paper as the next person -- but that it gets thrown into the landfill afterward. I just can't bring myself to do it. I suppose if I were in the woods and it was me or the pine tree I could see it. Maybe I'm just too traditional. In a decorate-the-tree-with-intestines sorta way.

Hafta get up and do some writing in the morning, or else.
