It took 'em four days, but the hummingbirds are here. The first lizard of the year has been spotted, there are honeybees (well a honeybee, but I assume she'll tell all her friends) in the clover, fuzzy black jumping spiders abound, and a green caterpillar has been interrogated. Unsucessfully, I might add. Then again, it probably wasn't feeling very threatened by someone holding carefully, telling it was cute, consulting a (pathetically small) book, and asking it what it was. It was eventually put back and all agreed that a bigger book was necessary. (The caterpillar again declined comment, tho)

But I have hummingbirds, so nyah.

Looks like the reluctant nomad will be exploring four states next week, starting at noon-ish tomorrow. *grumble* Looks like I'll be a Strohwitwer until next weekend. Maybe I'll get some writing done and learn more Japanese.

I think the rodents are probably thawed...I nearly forgot them. You probably shouldn't eat and read my journal entries, in case you hadn't figured that one out yet. Back to chores...

Currently Reading: A Dead Man in Deptford by Burgess

Recommend: In the Garden of Iden by Kage Baker

Books read this year: 17?
