One language, indivisible...

Have I really missed something here? This looks like flawed logic at its finest.

Student protests having the Pledge of Allegiance read in different languages to celebrate National Foreign Language Week. Why? The student reportedly says, "This is America, and we got soldiers at war. When you're saying the Pledge in a different language which nobody understands, that's not OK."

His father apparently backs this up, saying it's like "wearing a cross upside down in a church."

What?? The students also apparently sat down when the pledge was read in Russian. I thought we weren't at war with Russia. Oh! We're at war with Oceania, aren't we? How silly of me. We've always been at war with Eurasia.
