So, I had a 30% off coupon for Borders. They don't have the Orphic trilogy by Cocteau (bastards! kill! aiii!), but I found a cultural reference movie instead. You've heard the 80's song, "Eyes without a Face"? Yes? You probably have it stuck in your head now. You're quite welcome. :)

Well, I got it despite that, despite the pinkness of the packaging (why? Just...why?). 1949 black and white artsy horror flick. Hmm. Quite good. One especially nasty scene, good psychology, and the ending had some wonderful imagery. Highly recommend it.

Then we watched King Kong. Also nicely done, although at some point after the hour-plus Developing the Characters thing I was actually hoping for fluffy chickens. But then there were dinosaurs and teh shiney computer things, so that was good. I still wonder how Peter Jackson went from Meet the Feebles to this stuff. Someday they'll probably do some terrifying documentary on it.
