2006-05-25 9:31 PM Holy Bat man! Read/Post Comments (1) |
I just got back from a 2 mile bike ride with my kids. We had a great time. We went on the trail next to the river... just after dusk
And lordy the bats boy were they ever in force!!! swooping and swishing by our heads, I would say hundreds of them, but that might be an exaggeration, but then again, maybe not! It was fun and funny as we kept screaming and yelping, trying to enjoy the bike ride. Its like a whole different world there by the river, no cars, no lights, and the sky never ends, until you turn around towards town and look... Its really beautiful over there :) That is probably one of my favorite things (my only favorite thing) about this town is the fact there is a slice of heaven hidden. Work was work, nothing new, same BS as any other day. My days are numbered I hope. I didnt hear back yet from the one interview yesterday that went so well. The lady said she would be calling me today to set up our second interview... Thats a bit of a bummer, but hopefully she will call tomorrow. Hubby went out tonight, the company he works for has a guest box at the triple A baseball field, so he's there with co-workers hopefully having a good time. He needs the break. Not only does he work hard at work, but also the hassle we have had from the tenant, he just needed to escape for a few hours, I am glad he went. We have planned a great weekend. We are planning on going to the drive-in and watching the double feature there, then Monday we are going to Moon Lake for a picnic, and I am going to teach my lil' man how to fish! His fishing pole is being repaired by a friend of mine. It shall be interesting, I haven't gone fishing in many many years. I just hope I dont hook someone trying to teach the lil man! Now I am off to go walk the dog... more like the dog will drag me around the block... btw, the pic that is up, is of my dad when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
