2006-06-07 10:26 AM Eviction Plans Read/Post Comments (3) |
Its been a full week I tell ya, and its only Wednesday!
Monday, I was threatened by the tenant (the husband) and that led to nothing really, just me walking away, which was REAL hard to do. The threat came because their electricity was turned off Monday. For some crazy reason, these fools think that we are getting their utilities turned off illegally, even tho they are months and months behind on their bills. The electric company had called us, just as the gas company did to gain entry into the home to have access to the meter (which while they were here, they put the remote sensor on so not to disrupt us anymore). Yesterday was a very....um, I cant seem to find the words to describe it, but it was quite interesting. We have been waiting on the Constable to come and lock up the house and kick these guys out permantly. My daughter called me at work at 11:45 informing me that "the dude is here, ya know that constable dude", so I come running home, literally, running down the street so I dont miss the Constable. I get to the house, and inform the Constable that it is I that he is looking for, pretty much in a gleeful tone, and the way he looked at me was hysterical, he cocked his head and said (his exact words) "My dear, you are much too excited to see me to be the person I am looking for!" After talking to him for a few minutes, we both realize we had our lines crossed. He was here with 4 arrest warrants. Not for me, or my husband, or my kids, but for the tenants and their 2 eldest children. He informed me he was a "criminal" constable, dealing with only "criminal" warrents. Where as they have a totally different person who does evictions. BAH! No one would answer the door when he knocked, so he was leaving notice on their door. I informed him, that since their truck is parked in front of the house, that they were in fact home. So I proceeded to literally POUND on their door until they finally answered. 13 minutes exactly. When they opened the door, they screamed at me "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT YOU BITCH?!" I am still chuckling at this even now as I am typing it-- I said "Uh, Here you go Constable Flick, I told you they were home" and I walked away, into my own house. He took them in the back of their car, the mother and father and the one son, all 3 of them in handcuffs. The Constable had told me before they had answered the door, that he was there to enforce a "truancy" order. That they would be released once they appeared in front of the judge, and they would probably be back later in the day. So to my dismay, low and behold, when I got home from work at the end of the day, they were back home :( I called the court house today, informed them of the newest situation, and they put me in touch with the constable that is coming here for our eviction and possession order. He will be here to grant us possession on June 13th, 10 AM So now at least we know exactly when and exactly how this will be done. There is an definate date to the end of all of this. Thank GOD! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today is the last day of school and the beginning of summer vacation! Both kids are excited to have the ability to sleep in and to lounge around. Daughter already has her schedule for Marching band this summer, geeze, she's going to be a busy bee! I am off to do some thrift store shopping, see if I can snag some broken tile for some mosaic stuff my buddy is working on :) Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
