Whew, what a busy few weeks its been here!!!

To start off, after getting back from the evacuation, I was fired from my job, which caused yet more financial strain on an already stressful situation. Long story short, it has truly been a blessing in disguise! I have been able to put a ton of time into fixing up the disaster from the tenants, and I also landed a pretty decent job :)

I was job hunting anyways, I knew I wasnt going to be there forever, thank god! I interviewed for this new job and they called me back the same day with a job offer, which of course, I took right away. After a background check and a drug screen, I start this coming Monday!! :) :) :)

The apartment is coming along nicely. We were able to salvage the carpets, and I was able to repair the screen door, as well as cleaning up and painting the front porch to make it more presentable not only for us, but for the prospective new tenant. We hopefully will be able to start showing the apartment next weekend! After about 30 trips to the salvation army with all the clothes they left behind (27 bags of clothing as well as boxes upon boxes of toys), we cleared out most of the mess. Garbage removal was a royal pain in the ass, but its pretty much done at this point.

My son and I have been out fishing quite a bit through the last few weeks, and he is becoming quite the master fisherman. His biggest catch being an 11 inch Bass, which he caught all by himself, with no help from me at all!


Thats pretty much it for now, I am off to watch a movie with the family.
