After the 2nd work day at the new job, I decided to flub off and take the lil man out fishing. I hooked him up with some new tackle and grabbed some bait and off we went.

I love sunset, and let me tell ya, tonight it was absolutely gorgeous!! and when nature decides to reveal itself, let me tell ya, she reveals herself!! A herd of deer stepped out of the woods on the other side of the lake and were sipping water while we sat quietly watching them. There had to be about 10 of them!! We also caught a glimpse of a wild turkey, those things are UGLY! It was pretty cool tho, cuz lil man had never seen a wild turkey so up close and personal.

The fish didnt seem too interested in eating or being caught, and lil man started to get restless, so we ended up pulling the lines and splashing around in the water and acting like goofs. We had a blast!

When we arrived home, the hubby, who's been on vacation this week, cooked up an incredible dinner, that was definately a treat, cuz I was honestly thinking about ordering out...

So all in all, it was a great day, even if every inch of my body was attacked by killer mosquitos.

We have made more progress on the apartment. I picked up 10 more gallons of paint, that should be enough to finish up the kitchen, livingroom and diningroom. The next step is getting the plumber here to fix the leak in the bathroom, so we can replace the ceiling in the kitchen. One of the many things the former tenant left behind was trim, lots and lots of it, so we will be replacing the trim and the ceiling hopefully this weekend. Then it will be off to the back porch to rip out the flooring and lay new subflooring.

If there is one good thing that has come out of this whole renting thing, We have learned a ton about home improvement, and have become more self sufficient on repairing things without having to call a repair man at every turn.

I am off to grab a cool shower and head to bed, I am pooped!!
