Book Two, Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series Laurell K. Hamilton The second book in the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series is just as good as the first book was. Instead of dealing with vampires this time around, Anita is faced with an undead abomination which is entering the homes of innocent families and eating them, leaving behind nothing but grisly remains. She is tasked not only with finding this creature, but also the person that raised it from the dead and unleashed it upon an unsuspecting populace. One of the prime suspects is an extremely powerful Voodoo Queen, one that does not get along with Anita in the slightest. As the previous book dealt with the world of vampires, this book deals with the world of voodoo and those that can raise the dead. As with the other book, it hooks you from the start and you never really want to put the book down. There are twists and turns, though in the end the main bad guy is pretty obvious, but that doesn't detract from this novel at all. If you've read the first one, I'd recommend this one. It's just as good as the first and isn't stale in the least. My rating: Four out of five snails. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
