Directed by: Drew Goddard This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. While it is a horror movie, it is not your typical horror movie. There is much more going on here than meets the eye and I can't go into details on this without giving away the surprise. Let's just say, what seems to be a cliche is not. It's using a cliche to make an amazing and fresh film. People say there are no original movies left - this film proves them wrong. There are two plots going on in this film and come together towards the ending. One plot is the obvious one detailed in the description of the movie. The other is why these kids are under observation. If you like horror movies at all, or just want something that's new and fresh, I would highly recommend this movie. Also, if you're a fan of Joss Whedon, you MUST see this. Much like everything he touches, this film is gold. The characters are, for the most part, well rounded and the dialogue is better than pretty much any other film out there. I don't know how, but Whedon always nails the dialogue of any project that he's a part of. So trust me, see this film as soon as possible. It's absolutely incredible. The only people who should skip it are those that can't stand horror movies of any kind. My rating: Five out of five snails. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
