... May and early June is NOT the time to be out of town if you want a chance to get on staff for TV season.

I found this out to my chagrin; Ken and I planned a Hawai'ian vacation that was *supposed* to start on May 17. That's been pushed back a month now, so that we can be in town in the event we have meetings with showrunners.

As Jenn said to me: it's a good career milestone when you have to change vacation plans because your writing is taking off. Still, if the May plant turns out to be a wallflower, I will be severely disappointed.

And in other notes, I've been contacted by someone through Demo Reel Scenes to see if I have scenes for younger kids. I didn't (past tense), but was willing to give it a go. I came up with an idea that she liked, it needed to be one page, and I did up the first draft tonight. She liked the concept so much that she now is hoping I can produce a second scene for two kids.

Never thought I'd be writing scripts for kids...

The end result *should* be a couple of sales, plus two more inventories for DemoReelScenes, as she wanted them non-exclusive (meaning that she pays less, but I get to sell them to more people). DRS struggles, but has just enough interest to keep me believing it has a healthy life ahead...
