Now that the networks are announcing their new and returning shows, it's becoming easier to target places to call. I keep plugging away at getting in touch with shows, but the availability of writing slots for baby writers is astonishingly low. Well, not astonishing, I guess, considering how many writers are out there, and how few jobs there actually are. I have follow-ups planned for the shows that did read us, and I'll be making more calls to the new series as well.

Spacetime is also out to my contact for review, and I'm to re-connect with her next Monday when she gets back into town from a slew of conventions and traveling. The responses I've had back from my readers about the series has been extremely favorable, which makes me happy. And, given the way this year's gone, I will no longer be surprised if my entree into the world of TV happens through an original series sale. At this point, it actually seems easier to sell a series than get on staff.

In the new project front, I had a flash of an opening of a movie, which I'm now rolling around in my creative conscious and subconscious to see if I can find the rest of the story. I can attribute this creative inspiration to the Dead Ale Wives' Dungeons & Dragons sketch. If you haven't heard it, and you're a gaming geek, then seek it out and listen. It's a hoot!
