I received a rejection from _ChiZine_ today in connection with "Pause" because the story was too much of a Western. It's a Western, true, but it also has strong supernatural and horror elements. Oh well. I sent it off to _Fortean Bureau_ to see what they think of it.

I also submitted a new flash piece I wrote this weekend, "Hunting Elk," to _Ideomancer_. I'm not sure how to classify the piece -- dark modern fantasy? I'll be interested to read the editor's reaction to it.

So far, fifteen people have visited _Lone Star Stories_, one person has queried regarding art, and no one has sent a submission in yet. I may have to pound the internet pavement a bit to drum up interest in sending stories.
