Following up on my idea of yesterday, I am in the process of acquiring the rights to reprint one of William Goyen's Texas short stories in the February 1, 2004 issue of Lone Star Stories. If it goes through, I'll have four of my five story slots filled. Now I need some more submissions for that last slot....

AlienSkin Magazine accepted my short story, "The Rearguard," today, and I'm really pleased. I now have two stories set in the same science fiction universe published, the other story being "In the Shadows of Empires," which is in the current issue of Neverary.

Speaking of AlienSkin, the publisher, Kay Patterson, was kind enough to compliment the web site of Lone Star Stories today and offer some creative marketing suggestions. She is a very cool person.
