In a few hours, I'll be able to present the first issue of Lone Star Stories. I'm just a little bit excited about that.

I decided not to insert an editorial into Issue No. 1 after all. I'm going the "stories drive the 'zine" route. I did add a news page to the overall site, which can serve as a spot for updates and occasional commentary by me, but that's all I'll do for now. I'll be curious to see if anyone really notices the lack of editorial (or cares one way or another).

I wrote a new flash piece last night, and now I need to decide which markets might like it. I think I might wait for Champagne Shivers to reopen and send it to Cathy Buburuz.

My evil elk story had to find another potential market today, so I sent it off once more. Other than that, I heard nothing regarding my own submissions.

That's about it for news. I will certainly post once I have the L*S issue up and ready for viewing.
