Today, I completed my first day in four years as a law firm lawyer. I'm a bit tired from reading through several case files, but it went well. I think this will work out nicely.

I've received some feedback on the first issue of Lone Star Stories, and it's all been positive and/or constructive. I'm glad folks like the stories I chose for the issue, and I'm looking forward to finding some more intriguing and entertaining fiction (and poetry this time) for the next issue. I have two months to do it, which is plenty of time.

One of my older stories received another rejection today. That was the first story I ran through the Critters workshop, and it was the first story I submitted for publication in over ten years. It just doesn't intrigue editors. It happens to be the favorite short story an old friend of mine ever read, which is cooler in some ways than getting it published.
