The Power to Censor (or Not Censor)

I became a moderator for the Small Press Co-Op forums for the Speculative Literature Foundation today. Jay Lake is also moderating. At present, no posts are up, but I'll keep an eye on the forums for activity. I've never moderated a forum before, and I think my let's-all-try-and-get-along personality type should be good for this sort of responsibility.

I decided today to submit my fiction in a different manner. I'm going to be more patient and submit stories and poems to professional markets first, whether they accept subs via e-mail or snail mail, and just go down the list of professional magazines before submitting to semi-professional magazines. I tended to submit tales to semi-pros because I like quick response times and like to support the underdog (I'm one myself because of Lone Star Stories), but I've decided that I really ought to at least try and get pro sales first. I may not stick to this resolution, but I am going to give it a try.

I have no news on the Lone Star Stories front to report, and just a couple of rejections for my personal submissions.
