I have the pleasure of announcing that a poem by Mikal Trimm, The Weather Knows No Change, will appear in the August issue of Lone Star Stories. I need one more poem and one more story to fill the issue.

For my own fiction and poetry submissions, I have thirty-one short stories and seventeen poems out. I'm constantly checking my e-mail in-box for responses, and I get at least one response back a day. I've always taken obsessive pleasure in tracking my submissions and responses, and now it's getting worse.

Since my last journal post regarding my writing on June 15th, I have written three flash stories, composed six haiku, and revised several poems and fiction pieces. I have two new stories in the early stages of writing, but only one seems to be going anywhere right now. I need to write the next story for the shared world group, but that's the one story in progress that is becalmed. A long story I wrote a few weeks ago is up for shredding in my critique group, and I'm looking forward to the group's comments.
