Marriage is love.

Oscar reflections...

Supp. Actress: Cate Blanchett. Yes she was excellent. Yes she is one of the top 3 actresses of her generation...but I really think Virginia Madsen was more interesting.

Supp. Actor: Morgan Freeman breaks his "Electic Company" jinx and takes a well deserved statue. The man rocks!

Actress: Ms. Benning is robbed by a butched out Ms. Swank yet again. You would think that she'd have given a better speech this time....geez....her speech sucked. And they gave Imelda Staunton a sucky seat...a sure sign she was destined to lose.

Actor: Jamie Foxx...great performance, great end to the speech.

Director: Clint's over-rated tear jerker spanks Martin S.....I've got to think there is some terrible secret Hollywood has on Martin...what the heck? Clint is so cool...but why do I get the feeling that I wouldn't like him as much as I do if I really knew him?

Movie: Ditto....reality check prediction....5 years from now, both of the favorite films will be forgotten....and Finding Neverland will still be talked about and Sideways will have a cult following.

Screenplay (original): Eternal Sunshine...Can you give a career acheivement Oscar to someone as young as Charlie Kaufman? This one paled in comparison to his last two nominations...this was the "we owed you" award (Morgan doesn't count.)

Screenplay (adapted): Sideways...the best thing about the movie, really. Dead clever.

Song: Can you say paint me shocked....Who'd of thought Beyonce and Antonio Banderas would make Josh Groban sound like an amateur? Still don't think the winning song deserved it. I'd say that all but the song from "the Chorus" were better than that one.

Chris Rock kicked ass....though still no Billy Crystal.

Worst Dress: Gwyneth, Gwyneth, Gwyneth.....please let someone else choose your clothes. EGAD! Runners up: as much as I LOVE them...Kate B. and Laura Linney (In the been there, done that category...Babs, I'd vote for you for President, but please make Donna Karan stop dressing you like a nouveau riche, breast implanted, drag queen.)

Best dresses: A. Benning, and who'd of thunk it...Drew barrymore.

Best Men's clothes: Mr. Depp, Jeremy Irons

Worst men's clothes: RObin Williams? Maybe Prince? Not quite...Bingo...Sean Penn...come on man, you're on the world wide number two non-sports tv program...and you looked like you slept in that suit.

Worst New Trend: Really overdone jewelry (Beyonce sang her butt off....but some of those jewels....holy bling blech, Batman). I blame it on the the 2nd Bush win bringing back obscene wealth expressions.

To bed....(didn't spell check this)
