McClellan speaking for Bush in 2003: "If anyone in this administration was involved in it [the disclosure] they would no longer be in this administration."

Bush himself in 2003: "If somebody did leak classified information, I'd like to know it, and we'll take the appropriate action."

Today's Statement: "If someone committed a crime they will no longer work in my administration." (No kidding...a felony conviction automatically makes you ineligible for federal employment under most circumstances.)

Does he think nobody writes this stuff down?

It's not just that he's weaseling out of firing Rove, it's the arrogance with which he changes horses in midstream...

I suppose since we let him get away with it on Iraq and WMDs, on Korea, on the enviroment, on education, and on international aid relating to AIDS and Africa, he just assumes he can do it on this....

Hmmmm.....

Perhaps he has a point there....

Shame on him....and shame on us.
