During this morning's procedure, they discovered that it was not scar tissue blocking the esophagus, but a large, aggressive tumor. For some reason, they don't think a G-tube is advisable, which means, no nourishment except the IV, at least for now.

I'm headed to Hometown in 5 hours.

UPDATED TO NOTE: the doctors believe that they have sufficient clearance to put dad back on fluids...but only one spoonful at a time.
