Okay...so you want to get away. And you were thinking about Europe, but the dollar is in the crapper and airfares are insane and who wants to pay for every checked bag on an international flight?

Consider British Columbia.

I'm on a retreat at a place called the "Honeymoon Bay Lodge and Retreat" a couple of blocks from Lake Cowichan on Vancouver Island. Who knew within an hour of a gorgeous, relatively cheap retreat center there would be beautiful scenery, wineries, organic farms, whale watching, fly fishing, beautiful hikes, and incredible food.

Run, don't walk to your Orbitz and plan a con ed event or a personal retreat to this place.
