So, how does this journal work??? Well, pretty much like our regular lit circles except instead of speaking your thoughts you will type them. The guidelines are still the same- we are looking for thoughtful, respectful comments that show a deeper level of understanding of what you read. I will open up a book for discussion and you can reply to my response by posting a comment. Then, other students can join in by replying to the discussion that has begun with additional opinions, observations, predictions, inferences, connections or open-ended questions. It will be very exciting to see where the discussion goes...

To find the discussion about your book you will need the group name and password from me. Do your best with spelling and grammar (capital letters, correct punctuation, etc.). Your writing is being published!

Be sure to check out the "Author Links" to the left for a list of links directly to each author's website.

If you have any questions, just ask! You can e-mail me directly from this site.

Enjoy the discussions :)

Ms. Payne

"Blogs are real-world writing, and that's important to kids. Everyone has an opinion or story, and paper is not the only way to tell it." (Author Suen Anastasia, Book Links May 2006)
