I'm having a zombie day today. Stayed up too late last night talking to Ben Rosenbaum. He's been reading my kids novel The Winter of the Earth and wanted to do the critique over the phone. It turned out to be an excellent way of doing it, from my point of view, anyway. I got far more information than I would have from a written critique. Time zone differences, however, meant that it was well after midnight my time before we finished. Yeah, I know it doesn't seem that late, but I'm getting old and need my sleep. :) Anyway, I've been staring pretty blankly at my computer screen most of the day. Doesn't bode terribly well for trying to write the rest of my current short story this evening. More tea. More caffeine.
