Infestation Day

Today was infestation day. We came down to breakfast to discover that the kitchen was full of millions of microscopic insects crawling everywhere. We've no idea how they got in, but our early-go-into-town-for-coffee-shop became spend-three-hours-cleaning-every-corner-of-kitchen. Not that it didn't need it, just that we had other things in mind for the day.

The insects are so damned micro that when we came back this afternoon, they had crawled out of every crack and crevice to cover all again. Looks like we're going to have to do repeated cleans to get rid of all the buggers.

In between cleaning, we went for lunch in town then to see The Village (quite good, but perhaps could have been structured a bit better; tension dissapated at the end). It was a good day out, paid for by us baby sitting last night for friends.

We've just come back from taking Nika to the park. Early evening's a great time in the park. There are dozens of dogs, and Nika must have played with all of them. There was one little spaniel that could have been Nika's little brother. Its markings were identical and so was its hair. We had to look twice to make sure we could tell which was which.

My extremely long weekend has one more day to run. University life is good. Five day weekends at the end of summer can't be sniffed at. I'm really getting out of the habit of work.

We started sticking in wedding photos into albums last night. We don't have all the photos back yet, but we've got some pretty good ones. When we do have them all, we'll put a mini album online.
