What Men Want

Men want:

  • A tea chest, from Betjeman and Barton's

Entirely made of wood, this genuine tea chest can be locked up. It allows you to store two teas thanks to separate compartments with a wooden lid to close them. It is most certainly a prestigious present.
  • Kiyosawa tea, from Betjeman and Barton's, to go in above tea chest

Kiyosawa Garden is located near the springs of the Warashina river in the village of Shizuoka. This is a very small garden where only eight people grow the Yabukita variety of tea plants. The "Yabukita" is the most renowned tea plant producing Sencha. This tea is a first picking (1st flush) called "Honyamma" (which means the sovereign mountain).
Men suspect they're not likely to get the above any time soon.

Winter has actually come to England. This is almost unheard of. Recent years, the bit that has come between autumn and spring hasn't really qualified for the tag "winter". But these last few days really have. Who'd of thought it would be below freezing. All day. In November. In England. And snow. Jeez.

I have one more month of work left, before my contract is being cut in half. This is a good thing, although it'll make our money situation really tight. Now we'll have to see if I can be disciplined enough to use that half time that I'm having free to write.
