There's Chinese food for dinner
The same every week
We order the usual
With same plates and same silverware
Chicken and broccoli
Push down the spoon
And drown the rice in Chinese juice
Occasional dumplings
Dipped in soy sauce
Lo mein is greasy
And I love it
Only one pasta, though
Because we already eat too much starch
Cold sesame noodles are nice
Except when the peanut sauce
Is plunked on top
With jelly-like features
The Chinese deliver
Through heat and hail
So we can get a nice
Repetitive
Dinner
