31,484 12.5 per 100,000 Go out to the car Sloooow actions Sweaty palms, sweaty back, sweat dripping down your face Shut the door A loud SLAM! in the night Close your eyes Hurt yourself End your life 32,000 every year Once every 16 minutes 8th ranking cause More hurt themselves than hurt others Go upstairs Close the door Pull the scissors off the desk And hover over your wrist Shaking shaking quivering Start at it STARE Doorknob turns Quick! Hide Hide the weapon, hide yourself Stay still… Door swing open… Stare at the feet… Scared… All these kids, all these people, all these people Not happy in this world would rather be in another place happier with no cruelty and a place where they can love and have fun A place unlike any other, a place unlike the world we live in now, where violence happens, and people die, and people break up, and people cry, and people are shy, and people don’t want to die but some do Because they don’t like this place, they don’t like the people, they don’t like the feelings and aching and sinking and begging and flinching and not helping and spitting and raving and eyeing and spying No they don’t like this place at all And we are the ones hurt, we lose the loved ones, we feel bad and sorry because its all our faults, we didn’t see it coming, we didn’t notice, we didn’t help It’s all us Now we’re sad, depressed, we can’t get over it, we can’t do anything now This place this society this town this world needs some cleaning up, some organizing, some take-out-the-trash And maybe then, maybe then, just think We might still have our families Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
