Summer heat, deck chairs
Spiny thin daddy long legs
Lounging here in shade


Dangling leaves shake
Hover, about to fall far
And land on soft grass


An empty branch is
Weak and covered with blank flakes
Heavy and about to drop


Shoots shoot up from ground
And a thin layer of dew
Glazes their surface
