The picture on the board
Has a crisp hole in the top
That I was reluctant to put in
But I wanted it to stay there
I wanted to be able to look straight at it
Making sure nothing touches it
In its own invisible force field
Every time I take it off
I pull the pin out delicately
And put it back through the same hole
On the same spot
Hope it doesn't yellow
Or become crisp and fragile
Hope it doesn't get lost
With the magazine cutouts
And photographs
And lists
And birthday party ideas
And cards
And movie ads
And candy wrappers
And fake flowers
And pretty tissues
It can't
Can't be lost
Always has to be in front of me
No copies, just that one
