My dad came home today after nearly a week in Washington D.C. and he brought home a couple of gifts and souveniers. I was so thrilled! He gave me a pewter fairy keychain and a porcelain fairy made by Dezine (which is the collection of fairies I collect)! I was so happy. I was mostly glad that he came home and was safe and sound. Even though I hate the fact that my parents smoke (my dad smokes a pipe and my mom smokes cigarettes), it was nice to have that familiar scent of vanilla pipe tobacco.

Yesterday, I had a horrid day at the Van Nuys Courthouse doing my civic duty. Yay...*grumble grumble grumble* My sweet love Berek, called me at a quarter to 7 in the morning (which turned out to be a good thing, because the power went out in the middle of the night and reset my clock) to tell me that he would pick me up at twenty after 7. Even though he was tired, he picked me up and drove me to the courthouse. He was even going to give me money for lunch (if only he had remembered :D). Later that morning I started my period and of course I had absolutely nothing on me! I called my sweetie and asked if he could bring me a pad when he picked me up after my service was over. He offered to come at lunch time. He was my knight in shining armor! Without him, I'm not sure how I would've gotten through the day. Not to mention I actually got a decent nights' sleep. It helps when you get to be in the arms of the one you love. Snuggling is so good... :D

And then there's my cats...oh how I love my cats! Naboo and Hal are great. Apparently, my beloved Naboo either decided he was too prissy to step in the kitty litter today or he wanted to impress the fleas off of Hal by crapping while doing a balancing act on the corner of the litter box, thus dumping the whole thing onto my carpet. :D I love my cats, and I think that no matter what, they'll always be there to give me a good laugh.
