2003-07-26 11:23 PM YAY!! Mood: Happy, content and so damn tired... Read/Post Comments (0) |
Ah, what a day! Last night Berek, Sonia, Ben, Val and I went to a live show of Rocky Horror! It was GRRRREAAT! I had a lot of fun despite the fact that I know none of the call outs nor do I actually know how to "do the Time Warp" (they had the audience Time Warp at the end of the show).
We took Sonia home and didn't get home ourselves (Berek and I) until almost 4 in the morning. Boy did we zonk out. It was nice though, we didn't get up until after 11. Berek actually slept the whole night through without waking up. I'm glad he did since he's been so lacking in the sleep department. :) It took us awhile, but we finally got our butts out of bed and ate some breakfast (Yay Krispy Kremes!). Then we went and cashed my check and headed to the beach!!! WHOO HOO!!! Finally, we were on our way to the beach! We have been planning to go to the beach since the summer began and so many things had occured that made our plans fall through. But now, finally, we were gonna go! The beach we ended up stopping at was near a naval base apparently, so they had part of the beach fenced off with a sign that read, "Do not enter, Firing Zone." Hmmm...a little frightening, but Berek assured me they didn't use this particular "firing zone." Still, it was less than comforting. It was a nice beach though save for the fact that the sand we were walking on was actually jagged pebbles and broken shells. It hurt the bottoms of my feet walking through it, but dammit I wasn't going to let pain stop me from having a great time with Berek at the beach! It was so wonderful just to be together watching the waves roll in and try to pull us under (there was a strong riptide). We decided to take a walk down the beach. It would've been romantic if we weren't walking on jagged pebbles nor trying to walk on an incline. Needless to say, it was fun, but not romantic. Doh! The ride home was sweet. The weather was perfect, it was nice and cool. The breeze brought with it the fragrance of the sea. I love the way the ocean smells (provided it's in a good area). Actually, while we were on PCH, there was a little white and brown pigeon flying across the highway and tried to land on the hood of a truck riding along side of us to our right. The guy almost hit it on his windshield, but the bird manuvered away from him and landed on the roof of Berek's car! The pigeon literally snagged a ride from Berek for about a mile before he decided to get off. (Oh there was light traffic) And the rest as they say is that. Hehehehe...there's more, but I think I'll save that for my written journal. Mmmm...I think I'll sleep now. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
