2004-11-04 9:19 AM So many things going on.... Mood: Tired Read/Post Comments (2) |
So on Friday, October 29, 2004, my sweetie proposed to me and I said yes. He and I are very excited and have been trying to decide when we want to plan the big day. :D My parents are also very excited. I would post more details, but my sweetie already posted the details. :D
On Saturday, Berek and I went to a Halloween party and my friend Angela's house. It was a lot of fun and we stayed there until about 1 o'clock in the morning. I heard later that the party went on until five in the morning. Ouch! Hehe. We got to talking with a lot of interesting peeps. The food was out of this world and you'd think that it was professionally catered, but no, Angela and her friend spent a long day working on it. Awesome stuff! WOOT! Sunday was our day to hang out with Jen, Rob, and Shannon. It was a lot of fun. We chatted and hung out at Rob and Jen's apartment until about 3 when we decided to head out in costume to the game store in Pasadena. I started to come down with a headache, but thankfully we curbed that with some Excedrin and a cookie. (Side note: Seriously, I need to seek medical attention. My headaches are quite frequent now and so are my low blood sugar spells.) Anyway, so Shannon freaked out some poor old lady in a Jaguar because of her Sub-Sally costume. It was pretty hilarious as we shouted out, "GREEN!" to her and watched her contorted face look up at us. I had to say, I felt sorry for her, she must've lost the Halloween spirit long ago. We went to the Hollywood Athletic Club later that night to be at what we thought would be the coolest club. It was like a four in one, but ultimately turned out to be a three in one and for the most part the music was too loud and sucked ass in the dungeon room. The 80's room rocked, but was really LOUD! The other room started off with sucky music, but I liked it the last time I moved through it that night. TRANCE GOOD! So for my birthday Rob and Jen bought me a shot (which was actually 2.5 shots) of Raspberry Vodka (I had made a comment on the way to the club because I saw a sign advertising it). It was awesome. I downed the whole thing at once and apparently the last coherent thing I said was, "This has a pleasant after taste." I don't really remember the rest, but I'm sure everyone else present has posted about how wasted I was. The next day was my birthday and I didn't even know how I got home. I woke up finally after 12 and my dad had called to sing Happy Birthday to me. He clearly was very happy. :D I am engaged afterall and my dad finally gets to wear a tuxedo. :D My mom was looking at wedding dresses and invitations. She also managed to find some cool cake toppers. :D Hee hee. So I got up because Ashley would be over around 2 to pick me up so we could go to lunch. We went to lunch at TGI Friday's. We had humongous salads. :D It was good though. After lunch we decided to go to the Sherman Oaks Fashion Square. There we went to Bath and Body Works where I spent one of my gift cards for the mall. I bought a black raspberry vanilla body wash and then we went to a Christmas store. It was great! I found these great decorations for the apartment. There were these butterflies and birds that I figured I could use to decorate for a little wintery/springy Christmas. I'm really excited. Berek is going to let me decorate the apartment the way I want for Christmas. It was neat walking around with a ring on my finger you know. I felt so loved and so special. By then it had really sunk in that I am engaged! I am on cloud 9. Heh. So Ashley dropped me off at home again where I met up with Berek and his dad. We left after I showed them the goodies I got and then headed out to Hollywood again because my birthday dinner was at The Old Spaghetti Factory (which I later found out Laura's b-day was spent there as well...my co-worker). I couldn't believe the turn out. All my friends had come to celebrate with me. I felt so fortunate at that moment and so happy. Despite all the crap that had been happening up until that point, it all faded away and I was left with just this...the fact that I had friends who all cared about me. I know this is the sappy part, but these are the things that make life worth living. Friends and loved ones. To anyone who doesn't believe me...well...it's your life. I had my fiance and all my friends and that matters a whole lot. :D The election...well, just don't get me started. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
