So, I had to let Berek read my novel. I decided I needed an editor's input on what it was I was writing before I got too far into the story and plot. He agreed with some of the things I had had problems with for example the length of the introduction to my main character. I felt it was too short, but I needed someone to read it and tell me how it was for a reader. He also showed me some errors in how it was I was wording things. I have to go back and make some changes, but I think it'll work. Hopefully, I won't jinx myself by having him read it as I go.

The reason I'm afraid of jinxing it was when I got into stories that I was writing in high school. I would let my friends read it as I went, but they would love it so much that they would demand me to finish it NOW! But, I have to take my time and be sure that I like what's going on with the story. Instead of it becoming a release, it became a chore and I quickly lost interest and wouldn't finish. They would get annoyed with me, but there was just nothing I could do to get them to back off. That's why I had decided not to have anyone read or know about what I was writing.
