2005-10-11 11:25 AM A long birthday weekend and now MIGRAINE! Mood: Sick Read/Post Comments (0) |
Ugh, let me first start out by saying that my brain feels like it's going to explode, so instead, it makes me blow my oats (even when I have none to blow!).
I'm in complete darkness right now, save for the mild glow of the computer screen. I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for laptops and their power saving mode while running on batteries. I can actually do something while I sit here feeling completely miserable! Berek's birthday weekend and the current stress from work and school I guess was too much. I started feeling it last night on the way home from Disneyland. Again, I think it was too much for my body to handle and now it's slapping me upside the head! Literally! On Friday, Berek had the day almost entirely to himself, which I think he wasn't entirely happy about, but I think he settled into it. That night we went out with his family for dinner at Versailles which is a cuban restaurant in Encino. Cuban good. :D The food was awesome and cheap! I mean we're talking lots of food for very little. Saturday we headed out to Manhattan Beach to have a game day with Bryce, Julia, Carrie, Crysta, and Alan. First we all met up at a Mongolian BBQ place. I had never done a place like that so it was really neat and really good. Not to mention cheap. Then we went to the sidewalk sale at Mattel. Berek bought two hotwheel oldies for $2. Everyone pretty much bought something. Then we headed to Alan and Crysta's house. It was a whole hell of a lot of fun. We played Pirates Game of LIFE, Ticket to Ride, and Cranium. Plus, we ate b-day cake that Crysta and Alan bought for Berek and talked about all sorts of stuff. Crysta and I played some Nintendogs together and Alan showed everyone this great Playstation game that is essentially rebuilding the stars. It was neat and fun. Sunday we tried to relax, then we went out with Ashley for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (thank you Carrie!). Dinner was sooooo good. It was Ashley's b-day on Friday too, she just turned 21 so Berek and I had the privilege of buying her her first alcoholic beverage. She had a Strawberry Dreamcicle. I had a Flying Gorilla. Yum! Ashley was a little pre-occupied with her mother being in the hospital for an intestinal blockage, so we were glad when we were able to get her mind off of that for awhile. She needed a break. Yesterday, we went to Disneyland which was fun, but very tiring. I think this was why I'm suffering for it all now. I really enjoyed Space Mountain and we went on Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear, The Teacups and Small World. The only ride we didn't go on that I wanted to was Dumbo. We ended up leaving the park earlier than we wanted to because we were both wearing down. We headed into Downtown Disney and got Wetzel's. I figured we needed food. Well, on the car ride home, food was a bad idea. I started feeling sick and that's when my friend the migraine came into play. I figured it wasn't a migraine, just a tension headache, so when we got home I took an extra hot bath to ease the muscle tensions in my body, but it worked on everything else except my headache. I knew it was a migraine. I took some excedrine in the hopes I wouldn't blow oats. I did, but nothing helped. I laid down and tried to sleep. This morning I got up and still had the headache. I got up to start getting ready for work, but I ended up throwing up. That was that. I couldn't go to work today. How would I help my co-workers in a state like that? So I rested more after calling in. Nothing helps. The only thing that helps is lying down in the dark. *sigh* Oh well. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
