Relaxed and Incredibly In Tune...

While this morning started off a bit a bit rocky (due to my inevitable crankiness in the wee hours of the morn), today has become quite a different day than I thought.

I'm feeling wonderfully in tune with my surroundings. I went for a walk today and it was astounding how beautiful things are when the air is clear, the temperature is moderate and the wind is blowing softly. I took a longer walk because I power walked a bit of the way (as my doctor suggested). It was great because I got to just watch the treetops and plants and animals dreamily go about their walk of life. When I say I was completely in tune with my surroundings I was. I didn't feel like a trespasser in a forbidden world or like most people, out of sync so much with their environment they just don't take any notice as they go about their day-to-day business.

I listened to my music on my ipod and just wandered about aimlessly, but with a purpose. My purpose? To wander for the sake of wandering. :) I did however manage to find some great pine cones! I'm doing this project for my class it's called "Scrounge Night" and we're supposed to bring various scrounged materials into class and then, enjoy them. :) So I picked up some great pine cones. I was a bit overwhelmed though because there were so many and I didn't have a recepticle to carry them in. *Sigh* Oh well. But, low and behold halfway through my walk there was a folded unused green bag laying on the sidewalk. The wind hadn't even touched it. It was like I was meant to pick up these pine cones. Now I have a bag of pine cones sitting here at work with me. It's fabulous!

I also managed to take some great pictures of the trees and a bird of paradise with my camera on my phone. I mean we're talking the kind of pictures that you wish you could have them developed on film. The bird of paradise one came out far better than I could tell in the bright sunlight. I caught rays of sunlight shining on this bird of paradise on the photo. I was only able to tell when I got back to work in dimmer lighting. Wow! Am I good or what? Plus, I saw the two greatest hawk aerobatics I've ever seen! Just simply amazing.

To speak nothing of the cool event I experienced last night at school. I was on my way out of class and I was calling a friend to see if we could get together on Sunday and I saw an animal bolt out from the football field nearest Victory. (Which is away from the hills just to give you some perspective as to how weird it was.) It was a coyote! It ran straight for the hills, but it had to cross a whole lot of campus to do so. I just hope no one was stupid enough to try to catch it or to call animal control and have it either removed or killed. It was a beautiful sight.

So right now I'm just enjoying my food I have for lunch and relishing the experiences I've had. :) Yay!

What's Your Element(girls)? (PICTURES)

You're Element is Earth. You like plants and flowers and have a very natural looking beauty so you really don't need make up. You are a very innocent and maybe naive person but it's only the jerks in this world that take advantage of you because you are a jewel in this world of rocks. You have many friends and they all enjoy you as much as you do them. You are skilled with your hands and would be able to last in a more remote home. (please forgive me if you cannot see the pics. If you go to my userpage then you can see your result picture at the bottom)
