So yesterday Berek and I did our grocery shopping early in the morning. It was a fairly big run because we were actually running out of meats. (Now that we've been cooking every night.) But it wasn't too bad. The prices were actually pretty good.

Then afterwards we ate lunch while we watched Friday's episode of Degrassi. I had an excellent sandwich from Whole Foods. It was really yummy. They have this great olive spread that is absolutely amazing! Plus, it was nice just relaxing while we ate lunch. :)

Around one o'clock we headed out to Bryce and Julia's for Jordan's 1 year birthday party. On their big screen tv they had their computer scrolling through pictures of Jordan. Let me tell you, this kid is soooo photogenic! Plus, those eyes are magnificent! If one's eyes are the windows to the soul, this kid's soul is clear and bright! :)

We got to talk to Bryce, Julia, Christa, Alan, Carrie and Baxter and that was great! I miss all of them so much! I feel like it's been forever since I got to talk to them. Things have been busy on all fronts. It's just difficult to step out of the daily routine to reach out and touch someone. Hopefully, we might be able to go to Alan and Christa's to participate in a LAN party and I really hope to get together with Carrie so we can do some scrapbooking shopping! Anyway, it was so nice catching up with everyone. Then it was time for Jordan to mangle his first, very own cake! It was absolutely adorable! He was having a great time squeezing it and rubbing it between his fingers and of course, trying to fling it off his hands. :) Unfortunately, we couldn't stick around for him to open his many prezzies, but I'm sure there will be plenty of pictures.

As we headed home, Berek made a call to Rob and Jen to wish Gabriel a Happy Birthday. Rob initially missed the call, but called him back really fast. We both got to talk to him and catch up with them.

I also got to talk to Ashley! I haven't gotten a chance to see or speak with her for 3 weeks! We've been playing phone tag. Unfortunately, our conversation wasn't the happiest. Her sister, who is a new breeder has run into some problems with her first litter of puppies. They have worms which isn't too bad, but her veterinarian that she's been going to for 25 years seems to have an attitude against breeders. They apparently were very unhelpful, which is strange because this is the same clinic that I've been going to for my entire life and my parents have been going to forever! I advised her on how to handle that situation and then I recommended a different vet to go to instead of them. Hopefully, things will be okay with the puppies. I'd hate for something bad to happen as a result of a vet's bad business practice and lack of compassion!

I might go to a dog show in Del Mar next Sunday, but I have to be sure that I have a good chunk of my studies done before I can go. :) Still, I've always wanted to go to a dog show! :)
