So 16 days left until the big day. We're scrambling to get everything ready, but I think everything's coming together rather nicely...stressfully, but nicely.

We're both rather disappointed with the amount of "No" RSVP's we've received, but it is what it is. There are still a lot of people coming and it doesn't matter who's there because frankly...the day is for us! I think the biggest disappointment is the fact that Dad won't be there :( At least we found an officiant that is really awesome! She has a master's degree in psychology, so she understands how the human mind works, and she is ordained by the Church of Unity (which is non-denominational) and that is is a good thing. We don't want a religious ceremony since our families are from different religious backgrounds and well...we are too! I think it's going to be awesome though...it still would've been better if Dad was going to be there...

The house is coming along slowly but surely. It's so nice to be living in a house rather than an apartment. We can have our tv up louder, no upstairs neighbors thumping around on our ceiling, plus, we can decorate the house and do what we want with it!! The only downside with a house (especially if it's in disrepair) is that all of the expenses come out of our pocket. Still, when everything is all set, it's gonna be awesome! We have a dining room, a living room, a (REAL) kitchen, a gaming room, and two bathrooms along with 3 bedrooms! :D Woot!

The cats are loving their new home, even if they're only in our bedroom until we get things settled and unpacked in the rest of the house. They get a huge window to stare out into the wilderness that is the backyard! (Another wonderful aspect to having a house!) I can't wait to get started on the aesthetics of landscaping. I want flowers and shrubs! :D

So that's where we are right now...we're getting there. :D
