I love sensual fabrics: silk, suede, rayon, cashmere, etc. I have a lot of silk blouses. As has been mentioned many times in this journal, I also have a four month old baby.

I decided to dress up for work today. There isn't a real dress code, so sometimes I wear jeans and T-shirts, sometimes I go more formal. Today, I felt like wearing my dark persimmon silk blouse with the frog closures, my chocolate suede skirt and burnt cinnamon cardigan (mmm... tasty!)

After Bethany dropped Hunter off a little before noon(since I'm only scheduled three hours a day, she watches him in the mornings), my boss took me and a co-worker out to lunch. Hunter was a little hungry, but we were able to deal with that. I thought I'd managed to avoid getting spit-up on my clothes, but he managed to nail the sleeve of my cardigan. Oh, well. It was a poly-cotton blend, which was really no big deal.

But then it started getting warm, and I took the cardigan off. I knew I was tempting fate, but I just wanted to quickly run into the store to get more diapers and some storage containers that were on sale. I didn't have one of my slings with me, so I carefully placed the burp cloth over my shoulder and propped Hunter against it.

It worked for a few minutes. Then I felt the tell-tale dampness on my back. Craning to look at Hunter, I found that he had actually pulled the burp cloth into a wad so he could glorp directly onto my shirt. Fortunately, it seemed to be primarily drool rather than cheesy processed milk glorp, so it wasn't all that bad.

Thirty seconds later, he blew out his diaper all down my left side.

*sigh*

People who saw me burst out laughing must have thought I was insane. Oh, well.
