10,000 steps

Okay, okay. I've been talking about it for years: I may not need to lose weight, but my cardio sucks and is one of the reasons I have so little stamina.

Diana has started a dare: try to take 10,000 steps every day (supposedly this is the amount that has been shown to significantly impact health.)

So I dragged out the pedometer that I got in the McDonald's Adult Happy Meal many many months ago and wore it yesterday.

My total? A big ole whopping 2295 steps.

Ugh. Even adding a generous 100 steps for the time before I clipped in on in the morning and the stuff I did after taking it off at night, that still sucks.

Okay, I'm trying to be realistic here. My current goal is 5000 steps every day for a month. Then we'll see about increasing. And, yeah, I guess I'll post my numbers because I enjoy public humiliation.
