Things That Make Me Happy

Watching fish jump out of the lake in search of bugs

Glimpsing bats swoop through the twilight in search of the same bugs

Waking up with a small foot pressed into my face (Hunter's been turning himself around at night)

Creating a website that the client really likes

Figuring out an elegant solution to a problem I'd been wrestling with

A clean haven of a house

Being covered in purring cats

Music that makes me want to dance

Music that makes me want to sing

Music that makes me want to jump my husband's bones

Paying off a credit card

Seeing something I've written be published for others to read

Playing games with Hunter, like blowing soft puffs of air onto each other's faces

Watching Hunter discover his world and his place in it

Having something I've planted live long enough to grow and flower. (My tulips are emerging!)

Birdsong and the wind in the trees
