Since he's eating (a lot of) Real Food, I'm pretty sure that Hunter's nursing sessions are for comfort as much as nutrition at this point. Still, even in times past, there were certain things that would cause me to stop a nursing session. The primary ones that come to mind are when Hunter:

  • absently pinches miscellaneous soft, fleshy parts of his mother's anatomy (forget the mouthful of teeth -- it's those sharp little fingernails that are the problem!)

  • tries to roll over while still attached;

  • starts playing peek-a-boo by detaching himself, pulling his mother's shirt down to cover the breast, then lifting the shirt and peeking to see if the breast is still there;

  • mistakes his mother for a kazoo.

*sigh*
