The other night, as I was vainly attempting to remove the vestiges of that night's Blueberry Massacre from Hunter's bare chest (I strip him down to diapers for blueberries), Hunter looked down in surprise, noticing his right nipple as though, after 18 months, it had suddenly appeared from nowhere.

Cautiously, he reached toward it with his finger and squished it. Then he giggled and did it again.

squish!
giggle
approach... squish!
giggle
approach... squish!
giggle

This went on long after I'd given up cleaning any further and had taken him down from his high chair.

squish!
giggle
squish!
giggle

as he was wandering through the house. Of course, the only time he stopped poking himself was when I got the camera out. And, again of course, as soon as I put the camera away, he went back to the squish!/giggle routine.

And people ask why we canceled the cable.

PS. Yes, he has previously attempted this with his mother while nursing, leading to the "no tweaking" rule.
