Okay, I finished reading "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone interested in reading a novel with depth, complexity (without confusion), music, love, magic, and the type of heartache that gives joy that much more poignancy than if there were no sorrow to act as foil.

In some places, it's also really, really funny.

I only have two caveats:

1. The only reason I didn't read all almost 700 pages in a single sitting is because I fell asleep at 5am; I got next to nothing else done in my life until I'd finished it, and

2. The second (of three) volumes isn't due out until April 2008.

Go find. Read.
