One of the worksheets Hunter brought home from school today looked like this:

One would think that the purpose of the assignment was to familiarize kindergarten students with the colors YELLOW, BLUE and GREEN, along with practice in writing and spelling and fine motor skills.

Hunter, however, informed me:

"The teacher said we could color the sky any color we wanted. The sun used to be waaay up there," (points above the page) "but now it's setting and the frog is going back home.

"The frog's friends sent it out to go look for something to eat but he didn't find anything but he will find something on his way home. He had to hurry home because it was almost time for dinner. The frog go home just in time - it found something to eat: lots of fish!

"The next day, they had some more fish because it brought home lots and lots and lots of fish!"
